Individual Counselling
At Storm Breakers, we offer a wide range of Christ-centered counselling services to help individuals overcome various challenges. We are dedicated to providing a safe, yet challenging environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. Our areas of expertise include addressing codependency, substance abuse and addictions, marriage and family concerns, grief and loss, depression or anxiety, spiritual strongholds, sexual abuse and domestic violence, and more.
Marriage Counseling
Marriage is the second most important bond one can ever partake of, after their relationship with God. As the Bible says, two become one flesh. And with some statistics quoting over 50% of Christian marriages ending in divorce, there is a great need for healing amongst married couples. Storm Breakers is committed to helping spouses heal from past traumas and hurts, and to look forward to a healthy, vibrant and fulfilling intimacy with their life partner.
Family Counseling
Family counseling looks at problems as patterns or systems that need to be adjusted, rather than focusing on one person’s sole role in the problem.
Strong family relationships play a critical role in the overall mental health of each family member. Their success can be effective in helping family members adjust to another family member’s struggle with an addiction, medical issue or mental health diagnosis, for example.

Our Approach
Biblical Counseling differs from most other forms of counseling in several ways.

First and foremost, Biblical Counseling is designed to define and strengthen our counselees' relationship with Jesus Christ.

We believe the Bible, and not any other document, is the preeminent source to overcoming all of life's struggles and is endued with the necessary power by God to overcome any situation, any sin, any struggle.

Prayer is a vital, and valid, strategy in counseling.

While some situations are more complex and require longer periods of care, Biblical Counseling is not designed to be a months or years-long process. It is designed to equip and send, just as Jesus said in Matthew 28:19-20.

Homework, to include reading, studying scripture and other activities, will be required of counselees.

At Storm Breakers, the first session will be 80 minutes, so that the counselor can learn the individual(s) background and develop a tailored course of action. Subsequent sessions will be 50 minutes.
